I was Really excited to play this, since i put 60 plus hours in to orgins and it's dlc content. But i really don't like this game. The game play has been dumbed down to the point where it just feels like a 3rd person action game with some rpg elements.seems they are trying to draw in more gamers other than the rpg crowd.Sure it is better looking, but i did not think orgins looked bad at all.Graphics are not everything.really does not feel anything like dragon age. They would have been better off just making this pos a new game with a different title. They are pushing the true fans of the game away.what a shame.here is hoping they don't F up dragon age 3 and mass effect 3!

It started off REALLY cool. The gameplay is really cool at first. but after a while, it all kinda became bland, and boring. Honestly, Dragon Age: Origins was FAR better. DA:O was upsetting because it had crazy long load times, but besides that, the game was an absolute blast. Your spells were interactive, for example you could throw a greece spot on the ground, then hit it with a fire ball and you just created a massive wall of flames. DA:2 they completely threw that away. I found no cool tricks, the only problem they fixed was the 5 min load screens, you know how? by loading into a zone only to make you talk to someone for 3 min, then back to another loading screen. there was WAY too much talking, too much traveling not enough going thru deep dungeons killing people. it seemed like everytime i got into a cave filled with bad people, i was out in 5 min and back to the loading screen. honestly id rather have the 5 min load screens and load 1 large area where i can do multiple quests without loading 10 times. i cant believe they say this game is as good as it isnt. SORELY disappointed. the crafting was quite the pain in the backside as well, i didnt know where to look for things, so i lost interest in the crafting. I rated this game a 5 simply because the actual lore is kind of cool, but theres WAYYY too much of it, and not enough killing people! DA:O i was the hero, and saved the world from the blight, fighting off dragons, where now im more like a glorified cop, dealing with peoples issues.

Let me start by saying I am a giant Dragon Age: Origins fan, and I feel like this game blows it away in every category I've seen so far! I am only a few hours in but if I didn't have a job I'd never put it down.
Pros: -The fighting is faster and more intense than the original while still keeping most of the strategy in place. -The dialog is much simpler, and much more impressive now that your hero speaks. -The graphics are A LOT better! -Menu system is quick and clean.
Cons: (None really unless I'm being very picky) -Can't switch between weapons on the fly anymore like in DA:O.
Long story short, if you like RPG's, buy this game now! Or at least rent it.
