Repetitive

Don't get me wrong, this game had a nice change from the hack n slash zombie survivals preceding it. Guided around the idea of true survival, Dead Island has you using everything you can find in your environment to survive, barter, and trade. I would have enjoyed a game that did not rely on a hit point meter and durability based weapons (oh, and the fact that nomatter how many you kill, every quest and checkpoint bring em all right back). I'd say the replay value is low since the only thing to look forward to is zombie that scale level with you and increasingly more expensive items to find and buy (and repair). A big plus for this game is the cooperative gameplay, up to 3 additional players that cna import their leveled characters in with your game, regardless of the point in the story. Lots of laughs, friendly fire, and Grand Theft Auto type mayhem. Don't play alone in the dark with good surround sound, the zombies ALWAYS sound like they are right next to you.
