Good Gameplay in a Broken Game

Dead Island is a very fun game and I really enjoyed it....until it broke on me.
Like I say in the title, the gameplay is solid and enjoyable. You get about ten to twelve hours of side quests, hitting zombies with some interesting weapons, and leveling up. To be honest, leveling up kinda feels pointless as the zombies, even in beginning areas, level up with you so the game's difficulty never really changes. If you want a challenge, you have to join a higher level's game, or if you want to dominate, you have to join a lower level's game.
However the huge flaw with this game is its tendency to break, i.e, make your game unload-able typically toward the end of the game. Friends of mine have had their saves rendered useless at various points at about 70-80% game completion. This happened to me and plenty of other people on the internet. It doesn't happen to everyone but it does happen to enough to make a serious problem.
So, in a nutshell, very fun, very buggy game.
Would earn an 8 of 10 from me if it would actually allow me to finish the game.
