Call of Juarez: The Cartel for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

What can i say about this game except WOW what were they thinking.
I know people like to judge games to MW2 and so on.
Unfortunately were in a era were MW1 2 and black ops have set a new standard for First Person Shooters so when you play a FPS you compare it to those classic tittle and most of them come up short.
1. The Clipping in this game is horrible, Clipping is how you see the enviroment in front of you when you aim down the sights you get this horrible blur at about 40 yards that comes and goes and makes you rub your eyes.
2. Why are enemies that have already been shot still talking trash to me after i put 2 in their butt.
3. Why does ubisoft wich created splinter cell and have a good graphic engine put out this monstrosity of game graphics are almost as bad as Duke Nukem.
4. Game is way to easy since enemies spawn in place and hide and shoot you and do not really have an Artificial Intelligence what so ever.
5. STOP PROMOTING YOUR CHROME 4 ENGINE WHEN IT LOOKS THIS HORRIBLE IT PLAIN SUCKS.
6. BETA TEST YOUR GAMES BECAUSE YOUR REPUTATION IS ON THE LINE HERE, FOR GOD SAKES HIRE SOME HARDCORE GAMERS TO TEST THE GAME FOR YOU AND GIVE YOU AN HONEST OPINION CAUSE I WOULD TOLD YOU IT PLAYS LIKE DOG POO.

Now the good stuff.

1. Multiplayer was fun for 2 days.
2. The fact that multiplayer was any fun at all.
3. The fact that i have gamefly and can return it quickly.

Final Comment i know game manufacturers may still make some money of these types of games but their reputation takes a huge hit when they put below par games out there.
Do some research and just know that even do your not MW people are judging you by that standard wether you like it or not and you will get destroyed for putting out this stuff.

Don't bother buying in fact don't waste time renting either.
Ubisoft is lucky i gave them a 2.

The rating says 5/10 and thats exactly what this game is, its not the best shooter ever, its not the best graphics ever, its a mediocre game. But if you can look past the graphics and use the options menu to change the control options the story so far is very worth playing.

I have seen it multiple times "this story isn't new" or "its to played out" etc etc... I am sorry, I have never seen a game that is you taking down the Cartel. Am I missing something here? I have seen gang games, and fps's but never one that is Cops vs. Cartel in this fashion.

Anyways, lets get into the career a bit. You get your choice of 3 characters, they each have their unique weapons & side quests but for the full story you only need to play it once, and so far its very fun to follow. The idea is great, and the story is fun to follow. Swearing seems to be a bit excessive but then again with what the game deals with I would expect that to be a good portion of the dialogue, not really a + or - but it is something to be aware of.

Multiplayer is great, Mission mode is just like Medal of Honor's you must complete multiple objectives or defend against the opposing force. I have only played as a Criminal but it was hectic the entire time and very fun as well. I am not the best but I know how to play the objective and the game is a lot of fun while doing this mode. Unfortunately I have yet to try TDM but it will more or less be the same with no "Defend/Attack" point.

Overall this game isn't a complete waste if you can get past the negatives, it is not your Major League title shooter (BF3 or CoD:MW3) but it is worth giving a chance for the story if it interests you.

Notes
- Graphics (Think Homefront but a bit worse?)
- Controls (Easy to get used to but not as crisp as CoD)
- Story (Well worth the play if you can get over the above)
- Multiplayer (Worth giving a shot imo.)

5/10 - It is still a failure in my eyes and a step back from CoJ but the story gets it a bit of a score.
