You do not have to be a fan of the Batman character to fall in love with this game. But if you, like me, are a Dark Knight lover, then you will appreciate all of the fan service that Rocksteady gives. The story they tell is one of the best Batman stories of all-time, rivaling any comic book or Animated Series tales. They pack the game with nearly the entire Batman rogue gallery, but manage not to short change any of the villans. The real star of the game, however, is Arkham City itself. It is massive, with countless nooks to explore. And getting around the city using Batman's cape and grapple gun to glide and dive around is tons of fun. The addictive combat is back and better than ever, as Rocksteady added several new weapons and combat moves. There are also a dozen side missions involving some lesser-known villains that are a welcome distraction from the campaign. And even after the campaign is completed, you can continue searching for the over 400 Riddler trophies and riddles scattered throughout Arkham City. On top of this, Rocksteady provides two dozen challenge rooms to test your combat and predatory skills. This game is nearly flawless and has a ton of replayability (a New Game Plus mode unlocks after you complete the story, allowing you to play on a harder difficulty level with all of Batman's weapons). I thought I had played the Game of the Year when I finished Portal 2 in the spring. Here comes a new challenger...
This Bat game is amazing that I could not stop playing. At first,it was hard to get use to on how hand to hand combat & how to use the gadgets. Not only that, the graphics,3D picture, & most of all I like, the acting of all the cast. I wish that I could afford this game on the Collection Editon but our economy is really bad.
