I've been and will always be a huge Assassin's Creed fan. This franchise pushed the limits of both the PS3 and Xbox 360 on so many levels especially in the graphics, style, micro managing and game play areas. Sadly, with A3 it seems that alot was "overlooked" or just down right ignored , which leads to a less than satisfying gaming experience.
While the graphics and style are still here in A3, glitches are bountiful and gameplay can be down right horrific. Weapons disappear and reappear at random, horseback riding is a joke (you'll get there quicker by running) and returning to the "present" for missions seems to be more of a chore, as they don't quite fit into the rest of the story. Add to this the inconstancy of Connor's actions ( the likes of which Altair and Ezio would be ashamed of) and this game compared to the others just goes straight downhill. Wanting to remain anonymous is pretty much pointless because once you finish of an enemy or group of enemies especially in cities, a herald just "magically' appears , and you can simply pay him off and , POOF !!!! You're incognito just like that.
Hunting is kinda fun but gets stale really quick... press B , now press X , press B again and now Y, and that's pretty much it......EVERY SINGLE TIME especially with big game. The micro managing , which was really simple and fun in the previous games has been replaced with a confusing, no tutorial, cumbersome menu that almost begs you to ignore it. Overall, I somewhat recommend it, but with Halo 4, Black Ops 2, Dishonored, Hitman Absolution, and a host of other great looking games coming out,I just don't know when I'd recommend you try it. Trust me.....you have been warned.
