I loved Assassin’s Creed but I think this sequel has out-shined its predecessor. This game has everything it takes to be in my top games I’ve ever played. The story is immense. A lot of thought has definitely been placed in the creation of this game.
Pros: It is action packed but does take breaks from the run, kill, run, kill scenario by adding in easy to difficult puzzles. The artwork is excellent and musical score follows the flow of the game perfectly.
Cons: There are a few bugs in the character controls. ...Or should have been rethought, IMOP. For this reason I gave the game a 9. Some texture fragmenting and character collision problems here and there but nothing that really takes away from the game.
I played AC1 for about 45 minutes and gave up. Just too many little things annoyed me and I found the story uninspired. AC2 is different and I have enjoyed playing it. It isnt a fast paced game really and you end up running around alot just going from place to place. You can jump around and climb but its usually easier to just run down to roads.
But the story is pretty cool and all the little side missions (particularly puzzle ones) and especially the little historical profiles of buildings and people I thought were awesome and really brought the whole thing to life.
Fighting mechanics are pretty good but mostly button mashing. It almost impossible to be killed in a fight.
Good, solid game. Perfect rent, but probably dont need to buy.
